Allison Burnett is one of my favorite authors, and not to brag but he’s my twitter pal as well.π He has done such amazing work, from the books he has written, to the films that he’s written and/or directed. He has been such an inspiration to me that I wanted to share with my readers all the work that he has done.
I’m going to start with the books, because most of the time the books are better than the movies, (although I’ve found his movies to be excellent as well).

“Undiscovered Gyrl” was the very first book I read of his. It was made into a movie called “Ask Me Anything” which is a very underrated movie in my opinion. It had a wonderful cast, Britt Robinson, Christian Slater, Justin Long, and Martin Sheen. The movie is fantastic I’ve watched it a hundred times. After the first time I saw the movie I just had to get the book, and I read through it in a day. I definitely recommend both.
There was a sequel to “Undiscovered Gyrl”, which I’ve read a million times. I am so hopeful that the sequel comes out soon. But here is a picture of the book:

Then the next books are actually a trilogy, the B.K. Troop trilogy which are hilarious and at the same time can tug at your heart strings and make you feel all kinds of emotions, which is what I feel makes a wonderful writer.

The B.K. Troop series is one I rave about to everyone that will listen. I tell everyone to read it. I really admire his work, as well as his films.
The next book is called “The Escape Of Malcom Poe”, which is another book that makes you think, after you’re done you wonder what happens to the characters. His books always leave just enough questions to make you think about what happens to the characters in the future, how does their story end? He’s always able to keep you think about the book even after you’re done.

I’ve tried to get pictures of his films but every image I can find is copywrite and it won’t let me save them. So we are going to have to make do with a list from Wikipedia.:
